Committed to Responsible Liquor Sales
At The Hamper Boutique Co, we take our responsibility as a seller of liquor seriously.
That’s why we are fully compliant with the guidelines and regulations set forth by the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998. This means that we take all necessary precautions to ensure that the sale of liquor is conducted responsibly and in accordance with the appropriate legislation.
Our licence
We hold Victorian Liquor Licence No. 36171663, issued by the Victorian Liquor Commission. Under it, alcohol is only ever supplied as part of a gift hamper with non-alcoholic items, never on its own. Our hampers may only include wine, whisky or gin, and no hamper holds more than 1.5 litres of alcohol.
How we check age
We understand the importance of responsible drinking and strive to promote this in everything we do. This includes ensuring that all of our customers are of legal drinking age and that we never sell to anyone who is already intoxicated.
You must be 18 or older to order alcohol, and the first time you do, we ask for proof of your age. For gift orders, we record the recipient's name and delivery address, and you confirm that you are both 18 or older. The driver checks the identification of the person accepting delivery, and alcohol is never left unattended: if nobody is home, it goes to the local post office for collection.

Sending wine, whisky or gin to clients and staff
The same checks apply to every recipient on your list, so each person accepting delivery must be 18 or older. If some of your recipients do not drink, our alcohol-free hampers make a thoughtful alternative.
