What are the rules for sending alcohol as a Christmas gift?

Alcohol gifts follow the same rules all year. There is no alcohol delivery on Good Friday or Christmas Day, and none before noon on ANZAC Day, so at Christmas the day to plan around is 25 December. The rest is worth knowing before you build a list.

• Only inside a hamper with food. We never send a bottle on its own, and we only send wine (including sparkling), whisky and gin.
• No more than 1.5 litres per package. That is two 700 ml bottles at most.
• 18 or over at both ends. The purchaser and the recipient must both be 18 or over. We ask for proof of age on a first alcohol order, and a gift order records the recipient's name and address while the sender confirms both are 18 or over.
• ID at the door. The driver checks ID at handover, and a hamper with alcohol is never left unattended or handed to anyone who is intoxicated.
• Delivery only. There is no collection in person.

How do you send alcohol gifts to a whole client list or team?

Put everyone on one order. One order can ship to many addresses, which you set up yourself at checkout, and every hamper carries a free printed personalised message on an A5 compliments slip. Drinkers and non-drinkers can sit on the same order, each with the hamper that suits them.

• Your branding. We can add your logo to the box, ribbon, message slip and sticker for a small one-off setup fee, with no minimum order. Artwork comes back within 24 hours of receiving your logo, and custom and branded hampers are dispatched within 3 business days of artwork and branding approval.
• Volume. Volume discounts are available for corporate orders. Contact us for a quote.
• Paperwork. Corporate orders come with an invoice, GST included on every invoice.
• Privacy. Your recipients are never marketed to.

When should you order Christmas alcohol gifts?

Orders placed before 11am Melbourne time on a business day are dispatched the same day, otherwise the next business day. Standard delivery is free on every order and express is $19.95 per hamper. We do not deliver on weekends. Processing can take longer in the Christmas peak, so branded orders in particular are worth placing early.
